Al Tinholt

Al has been a fan, supporter, performer and volunteer at the Canmore Folk Music Festival for over 20 years. He brings to the Board his skill as a conflict transformation and communications specialist as well his extensive experience around ngo’s and board tables. He can be found coaching, co-counselling and facilitating NVC (Compassionate Communication), Restorative Circles and Conscious leadership workshops across Canada. Al has a great love for improvised music. He has played guitar on stages across western Canada (four times at Canmore folk festival). One of his favourite musical moments was trading solos with saxophonist JP Perry on the Stan Rogers Stage at the International Jazz Festival.
