Storytellers in song, Horizon Ridge is a group of fine multi-instrumentalists and seasoned vocalists known for their intuitive tight harmonies and polished a cappella singing.  Based in Calgary, Alberta, band members Helen and Steve Goodchild, Peter May, and Dianne Quinton have played music festivals, music clubs, gala events and concerts in Canada, the US and the UK, drawing musical inspiration from their roots and from journeys near and far. Horizon Ridge is versatile and engaging, and their performances embrace traditional and contemporary folk, country, blues and gospel. Their CDs 'Enough is all you need' (July 2016) and ‘Unison In Harmony’ (March 2020) feature a blend of original and cover songs, and showcase the band's ability to move effortlessly through musical styles and genres.  Horizon Ridge also enjoys teaching instrumental and vocal harmony workshops in individual and group settings.Performances in recent years include: Spruce Grove Canada Day Celebrations and Horizon Stage, Canmore Folk Music Festival, On The Edge Concert Series, Weaselhead Presents, Calgary Stampede, Calgary Folk Club, Bow Valley Music Club, Bassano Arts Council, Josephburg Presents, Vermilion Allied Arts Council and Lethbridge Folk Club. Horizon Ridge is looking forward to heading to the UK to play the Chester Folk Festival May 2024.
